Opportunity for all engineering majors interested in the Aerospace industry!
If you're an undergraduate woman interested in aviation or space exploration, the Brooke Owens Fellowship Program is a paid summer internship and mentorship opportunity made just for you! My name is Katie Carroll, and I am a junior studying aerospace engineering here at the University of Illinois. I am one of 36 girls that were selected as part of the inaugural class of Brooke Owens Fellows (Class of 2017), and I couldn't have imagined spending my last summer any other way. On top of being placed at one of the leading companies in the aerospace industry as part of this program, you are also paired with multiple professional mentors, both internal and external to your matched company. To top it off, in the middle of the summer you are able to meet the other 35 Fellows at a Summit held in Washington, D.C. and build a lasting community in the space and aviation industries.
While I am an aerospace engineering major, there are opportunities for any and all majors who apply! The last class of Fellows was made up of undergraduate students who had just finished their Freshman to Senior years, and encompassed majors ranging from Biology and Physics, to Public Policy, Journalism, and Dance.
