This year the 2019 Scientista Symposium: Science Without Borders is in Boston, MA!
The Scientista Foundation is a national 501c3 nonprofit organization committed to empowering and advancing young women in science, technology, engineering, math, and medicine (STEMM) careers. Each year they host a three-day conference for young women (and those who support them!) to network with others in their fields, learn critical professional and technical skills, meet recruiters and representatives from top companies and academic programs, present their work, and compete for over $100,000 in scholarships.
This year’s program features 3 inspirational keynote speakers, career panels on topics such as science communication, science policy, industry, and entrepreneurship in STEM, a research poster session, a pitch competition to a panel of investors, and a career fair with 80 top organizations like Google, Genentech, NASA, and more. Their conferences regularly attract over 500 young women from top institutions throughout the country – it’s a fantastic opportunity to cultivate professional relationships.
