Bain & Company on campus

Bain & Company is excited to return to campus over the coming weeks. If you are interested in hearing more about the work they do, the company is hosting an information session on Thursday, September 14th at 6pm in DKH 114.

For those of you who don't know, Bain is a global, strategic consulting firm with >50 offices around the world. They help business executives address their most business-critical questions. Additionally, the company works with two-thirds of the Global 500 and work with buyout funds representing 75% of the global equity capital. 

Bain & Company is also offering the chance for intern candidates to participate in Bain case chains. This includes the opportunity to practice three Bain-style cases, including one with a current employee of Bain & Company. There are limited spots available, so they are requiring a short survey to choose the final group. 

What: Bain Associate Consultant Intern (ACI) case chains

Who: Any UIUC student graduating in December 2018 or May 2019 (all other applicants are not eligible to participate)

When: Apply by 11:59PM September 15th . Participants will be notified by September 22nd. Three case interviews will be scheduled during the weeks of September 25, October 2, and October 9.

Defense Information Systems Agency Virtual Session

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) is hosting a virtual session to inform students about the cybersecurity career opportunities offered by the agency on 1 November from 5-6 PM Central time. Interested students are encouraged to submit their resumes before or after the event. Rolls-Royce Recruiting

Rolls-Royce will be attending the upcoming Engineering EXPO on both Monday 9/25 and Tuesday 9/26 at the ARC. They are looking for co-op, intern and full-time candidates in Aerospace, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Industrial, Material Science and Mechanical Engineering. In addition, there are specific opportunities for students with an M.S. or PhD in engineering with experience and/or an emphasis in Controls, Electronics, Software, Mechatronics, Electric Machines, Energy Storage, Power Electronics, Analytics, Computational Sciences and Informatics. There are many internship opportunities, including those with an emphasis on Innovation, Business aspects of Engineering, and Health, Safety and the Environment.

As a defense contractor, they require that candidates must be a U.S. citizen/resident, asylee, refugee or have permanent/indefinite work authorization.  No visa sponsorships are available.  Our minimum cumulative GPA requirement is 3.0.

They have an Employee Resource Group called Rolls-Royce Women and we would very much like to meet SWE members at the EXPO.

3M Recruiting

The 3M Company will be on campus the week of Sept. 25 – 29 to participate in the Engineering EXPO and conduct on campus screening interviews for positions in our Engineering, Manufacturing, and R&D operations. Our recruiters will be looking for candidates to fill several hundred full time and internship positions in 3M locations around the US. We have openings for individuals currently pursuing their BS, MS, or PhD degrees in most areas of engineering, chemistry, physics, and data science. CIA Info Session

On Monday, September 11 from 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM in Illini Union 406, the CIA will be holding an info session. The CIA is looking for potential applicants (undergraduate, graduate, post-doc) who are US citizens with a wide range of experiences. A sample of the majors they hire for these positions include: all engineering disciplines, computer science, statistics, math, economics, geography, GIS, history, global studies, and information systems.
