The Illinois Female Engineers in Academic Training (iFEAT) program was created in 2014 by Elizabeth Horstman, Yanfen Li, Danielle Mai, and Professor Rohit Bhargava through the Graduate Society of Women Engineers (GradSWE) at Illinois. Its purpose is to help female graduate students and postdoctoral students prepare for the faculty job search by learning about the application process, materials, and other best practices. A combination of seminars and peer review sessions engage participants in writing and revising their application materials, better preparing them for the faculty application process. Applications to the iFEAT program are accepted during the Summer and early Fall semesters.
