Grad School Coffee Chat
Wednesday, November 18th | 4-5 PM | 112 Engineering Hall
Inspire undergraduate SWE members considering graduate school and answer any questions they might have at Grad School Coffee Chat! Often our coffee chats focus on transitioning directly to an engineering MS/PhD program, but at this special chat we will discussing alternative paths such as law school, medical school, business degrees, professional master's of engineering programs and how to apply to grad school from the work force. If you or anyone you know can offer insight into these different options, please come and share your experience, but everyone is welcome to join for coffee and discussion! Sign up here.

GradSWE Outreach Update--NanoSTRuCT
Fridays | 1 - 3 PM | Booker T. Washington Elementary School
Are you interested in STEM outreach and looking for a focused opportunity to engage with the community? Nanoscale Science and Technology Resources for Community Teaching (NanoSTRuCT) is a graduate student organized STEM outreach project partnering with Booker T. Washington (BTW) STEM Academy. NanoSTRuCT delivers STEM and nanotechnology themed mini-lessons and hands-on activities to the entire 3rd grade. We have 3 more visits planned for this fall, on Fridays (11/20/2015,12/4/2015, and 12/11/2015) from 1:45-2:45PM. Each weekly theme will explore an area of concentration in engineering with two activities. Each volunteer does not have to attend each session. Graduate students will share one activity with small groups of third graders from BTW in two rotations.
The more volunteers the better, so feel free to bring friends along! Interested? Sign up here.
