Upcoming Events and Announcements

GradSWE Outreach - NanoSTRuCT
Fridays | 1 - 3 PM | Booker T. Washington Elementary School
Are you interested in STEM outreach and looking for a focused opportunity to engage with the community? Nanoscale Science and Technology Resources for Community Teaching (NanoSTRuCT) is a graduate student organized STEM outreach project partnering with Booker T. Washington (BTW) STEM Academy. NanoSTRuCT delivers STEM and nanotechnology themed mini-lessons and hands-on activities to the entire 3rd grade. We have 3 more visits planned for this fall, on Fridays (12/4/2015 and 12/11/2015) from 1:45-2:45PM. Each weekly theme will explore an area of concentration in engineering with two activities. Each volunteer does not have to attend each session. Graduate students will share one activity with small groups of third graders from BTW in two rotations.
The more volunteers the better, so feel free to bring friends along! Interested? Sign up here.
