GradSWE Fairy Tales and Gender Formation Lunch
Friday, March 3rd | 12-1PM | 2240 Digital Computing Laboratory
Think of all the fairyvtales you read or watched as a kid, such as Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid, Snow White, etc. and consider how these affected your own and others' perception of femininity and gender formation. This is the topic of a course in the Gender and Women’s Studies department, GWS 378, taught by graduate student Valerie O’Brien who will be speaking with us on this topic. Inspire undergraduate SWE members considering graduate school by discussing their questions at Grad School Coffee Chats! The chats focus on all aspects of the graduate school application process. Dance Marathon
Saturday, April 1st | 8:00 PM-8:00 AM | CRCE
Do you like dancing, all-nighters, and raising money for a cause? Then join Dance Marathon with SWE Community Service! We will be dancing for 12-hours to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network. Besides dancing, there will be other activities like games and the opportunity to hear powerful personal stories from local miracle families. You can sign up at here, and make sure to put SWE as your team! There is $30 sign-up fee to cover a Dance Marathon t-shirt, lots of food, insurance, etc. Please put $100 as your minimum fundraising goal. Help us raise money for a great cause! #ForTheKids
