GradSWE Fermilab Professional Experiences Lunch
Tuesday, May 2 | 12-1pm | 2240 Digital Computing Laboratory
Have you ever wondered what it is like to work in a national laboratory? Join GradSWE to hear directly from three Fermilab engineers about their day to day experiences. Additionally, learn specifics about what Fermilab searches for during recruitment so that you know what skills to hone while in graduate school. Fermilab will be sponsoring the lunch. EGSAC Quality of Life and Wellbeing Survey
Available online until April 24
This 10-15 minute survey is part of a student-led research initiative to understand the engineering graduate student experience at Illinois. It will enable us, the Engineering Graduate Student Advisory Committee (EGSAC), to advocate to the College of Engineering on your behalf. Simply click on the link sent to you via email (subject: Engineering Graduate Student Survey) to begin responding! All survey responses are anonymous, and results will not be shared about groups small enough such that the individuals within the group could be considered identifiable.

SIAM End-of-Year Picnic
Saturday, April 29 | 1-4pm | Large Pavilion at Crystal Lake Park
The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) would like to invite GradSWE to its end-of-year picnic at Crystal Lake!! We will have delicious food (including fried chicken) as well as yard games (including volleyball, corn hole, and kickball). Feel free to bring your friends, a favorite dish to share (not required), or any other games you would like to play. We plan to meet at the large pavilion on the south side of the park near Carle Hospital (See this map).
