How might our organizations and community service subtly (and not-so-subtly) promote racism? What is our responsibility as volunteers to address racial inequity?
Join Ross Wantland from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Margarita Garcia Rojas, We CU Student Support Coordinator, as they reflect on their experiences with race, racism, and service work, and identify anti-racist strategies to engage in ethical community service. Participants will discuss ways that volunteer and service work can function in racist ways, and what we can each do about it.
